Our Winner from the 2024 Photo Contest and Calendar

Dolly, owned and loved by Olivia Cares Lindley and Michael Lindley is our cover dog for the 2025 SCOA calendar!

SCOA has had a printed calendar since 2004. The members have loved this fun feature of the club and many members have contributed to this annual event by entering their photos and buying the calendar, even as we’ve transitioned from gathering all photos at the National Specialty to a fully digital submission and voting process in recent years.

There were 228 photos in this year’s contest submitted by 40 members. Every member who submitted has at least one photo in the Calendar. Tony Arduino has posted the entire calendar on the SCOA Facebook page and we are working on having a gallery on the web site of all 228 photos.

Meet Dolly:

Breeder: Polly Autrey-Smyithe, Snow Magnolia Spinone. Dolly is from one of Polly’s last litters before she passed away in 2022.

Age: 3.5

Proudest Achievement: Dolly completed her first NAVHDA Utility test in August, and passed with a Prize II. Her first-time handler/trainers take responsibility for any mistakes she may have made in the field segment.

Plans for the future: Fall is the most wonderful time to be a versatile hunting dog! We’ll kick off the season in Montana before returning to Minnesota to begin a season of grouse, woodcock, and later pheasant hunting together, then we head down to the Mississippi Delta for the duck migration in December.
